    affordable option
    single bed

It was just a fitting option for a fleeting pause in Fladbury with good value for cost. The old-fashioned single bed was quite surprising, but it got the job done for one night. Make sure to check if the dining options are available on your stay.

    dirty carpets
    corridor issues

The Chequers Inn is charming, with its characterful timber framing and inviting restaurant, making it a delightful retreat. I appreciated the attentive staff who quickly assisted me with my luggage, ensuring a warm welcome throughout my stay.

    Carpets in corridors need cleaning.

    great location
    tight bathroom
    poor internet

the staff were amazin and super friendly, they did everything to make me feel welcome. got my breakfast ready early every morning which was so nice. the room was pretty comfy and cozy too, good size. location is nice and quiet in the village which i loved. i really appreciated the personal touch from manager donna and the team.

the shower cubical was a bit tight, not the easiest to get in. also, the internet in my room wasn't great, had to go downstairs for better signal.

    welcoming atmosphere
    charming character
    great breakfast
    shower cubicle
    poor wi-fi
    worn decor

The atmosphere of the Chequers Inn felt welcoming, with friendly staff who made the check-in process smooth. My room was cozy and had a charming character, which made settling in nice. I particularly loved the delicious breakfast served in the morning. the variety was great and it filled me up for the day. I ran into several issues during my stay. The shower cubicle was quite tight, making it difficult to get in comfortably. Wi-Fi in my room was spotty, leading me to head downstairs for a better connection. I noticed a bit of wear and tear in the room, indicating a need for upgrades. The carpet looked like it could use a deep clean, and the bathroom showed some signs of neglect. while I enjoyed many elements of my stay, the lack of attention to certain details and the poor Wi-Fi were noticeable downsides.

    friendly chef
    stunning view

Solo traveler will find much to like

I had a lovely single room for a night the view was stunning from the window, gave me a nice ambiance as I settled down to write in my journal. The breakfast was served by a busy but friendly chef who really knew what he was doing, I wasn’t hungry but the coffee and toast with eggs I ordered were massive and very well made!.

It wasn’t inexpensive, but the quality just about justified the cost.

The room was spacious and comfortable, making it a pleasant retreat. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with generous portions. the cleanliness could have been better, with smears in the shower and a slightly worn carpet giving a poor first impression. it was a decent stay.
